Michael Mathis - Writer/Director

Michael Mathis studied with Wynn Handman and Lenore DeKoven and trained at Maine Media Workshops and The New School University.

Michael has writing and directing credits throughout New York and his most recent writing/producing credit is for the indie feature The Teleporter.

Michael is the Creative Manager for video production at Google, Inc in New York.  He leads a team that produced videos for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra and YouTube Live which has received over 20 million views to date. He has also produced several other videos featuring notable figures like Martha Stewart, Donald Trump, Chuck D, Bono, Will i am, Ken Burns, Elmo - yes - Elmo, and many others.

Michael's a regular in theater and film in New York.  He has had recurring acting roles on Guiding Lightand One Life to Live and a supporting role in Slamdance finalist Over the GW.

In his spare time - Michael performs original songs on various stages in the tri-state area.
